Professor Dustmann and Dr Otten are coauthors in the first report in CEPR's Monitoring International Integration series, Europe's Trust Deficit: Causes and Remedies. They analyse the roots of the decline in trust in both national and European political institutions, as reflected in the rise of populist politics.

CReAM
The Centre for Research and Analysis of Migration (CReAM) is an independent and interdisciplinary research centre located in the Department of Economics at University College London. CReAM aims at informing the public debate on migration in the UK and in Europe by providing new insight, helping to steer the current policy debate in a direction that is based on carefully researched evidence without partisan bias. CReAM contributes to the development of new theories and methodological advances in data analysis, ensuring the ability to contribute and inform on a wide range of issues of policy concern, and establishing a reputation for analysis that is accepted as open, transparent and reliable. Research conducted within the Centre is both theoretical and empirical. Although emphasis is on quantitative research, CReAM explores new and interdisciplinary approaches in the analysis of the migration cycle. CReAM forms strategic links with other research centres on migration in the UK, as well as internationally. CReAM fosters international and collaborative research through links with prominent and reputed researchers inside and outside the UK. CReAM’s research is distributed to international lists focused on Labour Economics. CReAM contributes significantly to the public and policy debate on migration and labour economics in the UK and beyond.
The Second Conference of the Asian and Australasian Society of Labour Economics (AASLE) is organised by the Seoul National University, in Seoul, South Korea, from 13-15 December 2018.
CReAM and the Department of Economics at UCL are organising the new CReAM - Seminar in Applied Economics. This will run on the 2017/2018 academic year on Mondays 4:00-5:30 and is jointly organised by Christian Dustmann, Imran Rasul, Hyejin Ku and Marcos Vera Hernandez.
